After Nick proposed and we were an engaged couple, our families started talking about an engagement party. Both sides thought it would be nice if everyone met each other before our wedding in May. My Aunt Lynne graciously volunteered to host the party for us and it was so awesome! We thought it would be fun to have it during a Fightin’ Texas Aggie football game, so that is what our theme was. It was a total hit! She completely went above and beyond with the food and decorations.
We got our very own customized football!
The picture above is of Nick and me with my parents, Aunt Lynne, and Uncle Jim. Our mouths are all open because my brother told us that their third baby is going to be a girl right when he snapped the picture! It was such a sweet moment!
This is us with Nick’s parents and grandparents. The field goal post is a toy of my nephews that they brought over for the occasion. My talented sister-in-law made the cute custom banners!
My beautiful mom!
My future mother-in-law!
The Guests of honor. Being a bride-to-be has definitely come with a lot more attention than I am used to. It is really fun though and we are loving it! Notice the chalkboard on the mantle with our initials on it – so cute!
My nephew with a photo prop. He is so adorable!
There were decorations everywhere you turned! This banner on the mantle had to be one of my favorites!
The decadent dessert table – The football theme was even on the food!
It was such a great party and we felt so loved. We had family in from different parts of Texas, Arkansas, and Colorado! It was something special that we will always remember.
