We took our engagement photos in October 2016, the week after our engagement party. I wanted to do it then because I thought it would be a nice contrast to the photos that would be taken at our Spring wedding. It also allowed enough time for the photographer to get them turned around and me to send out save the dates. We used a local Houston/College Station photographer, named Kati Hewit, for these and I love how they turned out. She did a great job and was awesome to work with! Scheduling was easy and her turn-around time was even quicker than she told me it would be.

We wore two outfits and had a blast. Before Nick proposed to me I thought it was kind of silly when brides wore white to everything. Once I became a bride, I was just like the rest of them. I wore white in some form to all of our events! It is the only time things are all about y’all, so why not stand out?
Our first outfit was a fun and casual look. We wore jeans, boots, and tops that were crisp and clean. Nick’s shirt is actually very similar to our wedding colors. The main one being the light and airy blue he is wearing. Blue is my favorite color. Pink is second.
The second outfit was a little less casual with Nick in slacks and me in a dress. We had fun switching it up! I did not post any of our photos on here or on social media because I wanted to display them at our wedding. It wouldn’t have been any fun if all of our guests had already seen them. Overall, I am really happy with how these photos turned out!
I’m so happy to be able to share these photos! I think they display our love for each other very well. I cannot believe that we have been married for six weeks!
