I am so happy that the Month of October is here! You see, I LOVE October. The main reason I love it so much because it is my birthday month! As a child, I had THE COOLEST Halloween themed birthday parties and my love for the month has been strong ever since. Seriously, my parties were so fun, people still talk about them. Okay, maybe it’s just me that’s still talking about them. Nonetheless, I love the decor, the number 10, the weather, Halloween, the food, the football, and even the colors purple and orange (This is the only time you will EVER hear me say that). So to kick off the month, I am showing you essentials for a great October!
All things pumpkins! I really mean all things pumpkin. I love jack o’lanterns, regular pumpkins, pumpkin bread, pumpkin drinks, pumpkin socks…the list goes on. This candle is so cute! The copper lid is perfect for the season. This throw pillow would add a nice Fall touch to your decor, and it goes great with this cute jack o-lantern! I would definitely make tons of soup just so I could use this adorable crock if I had it. I have these exact pumpkins and have them displayed in a vase stacked. They look great! My favorites of all…the MacKenzie-Childs “Beware” and stacking pumpkins are the cutest things ever! A girl can dream, right?
Halloween Movies – The Nightmare Before Christmas is always great. If you’re into cartoons this one is for you. My personal favorite is Hocus Pocus, it never gets old…like the Sanderson sisters. If you loved Disney Channel Original movies as much as I did then Tower of Terror and Halloweentown are perfect for you. Of course no Halloween movie marathon would be complete without Harry Potter. No, the movies are not about Halloween, but there is a Halloween scene in the first movie “Troll in the Dungeon!”, and the movies are full of witches, wizards and brooms.
Deep Colors – This is the month that your wardrobe officially changes gear. Embracing deep colors is key! I have these pants and they have already been on repeat. They look great with a nice chambray top or tunic. Another color I am loving is olive. This top would look great with some distressed skinny jeans and some fun shoes.
